Client – Durham University. Problem was that extensive compartment integrity surveys were commissioned by the Durham University Estates Department. Unfortunately it was realised that full, comprehensive fire compartment drawings were not readily available.
Solution – Profire Systems Ltd commissioned the development of an App which electronically records the survey and fire stopping installation process. This allowed us to map all walls and floors, capture the location of the work, it records the date, what materials were used and a unique reference number, providing a permanent record of fire stopped locations. It is designed to manage the process of documenting all breaches and penetrations to passive fire protection elements within a building. We were therefore able to provide the client with marked up drawings and a photographic (before & after) report as well as a full schedule of all survey works and remedial works, ultimately with the compliance assurance they required within agreed timescale and budget.
