Overview:
Extensive fire compartment surveys and passive fire protection works were carried out at Durham University Campus. Initially the university had a lack of serviceable records to complete Fire stopping works. Profire Systems Ltd undertook large scale surveying and then progressed into Fire stopping works.
The works were carried out in student accommodation areas. This meant that our site operatives had to ensure that works were carried out during reasonable times. It also meant that they had liaise with the occupants of each area to ensure they could gain access to carry out the works whilst ensuring they were aware of the other building users.
